COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION MEETING

1. Approval of Minutes from October 7, 2008 Meetings
a. August 13, 2008 Minutes (1st Vonderhaar, 2nd McKinnon – 5 yae, 0 nae)
b. October 7, 2008 Minutes (1st Pearlman, 2nd Vonderhaar – 5 yae, 0 nae)
2. Evendale Commons update
a. Wal Mart manager has made comments that they are top performer for Wal Mart nationally. Not certain what category but based on sales/performance.
b. It was noted by Jack Cameron that Wal Mart, Chipotle and Starbucks are outperforming expectations and the Village has half dozen other companies expanding. CIC members desired to see promotion of this type of message via press release, website or other. Jack to report back possibilities and options.
3. Erickson proposal update
a. Should come to conclusion at November 13, 2008 Council meeting.
Old Business:
1. Review of Role/Mission Statement of CIC
a. No action since last meeting and Dave Harwood will contact Jeff Albrinck, sub-committee chair, to arrange a meeting of the by laws sub-committee.
2. Landbanking (Marketing Existing Sites & Future Landbank Sites)
a. General consensus to find a method to facilitate positive action on our landbanked properties.
b. Properties should have clear direction on development options.
c. Marketing materials for specific properties as well as materials for overall Village properties would be appropriate.
d. Jack to finalize a table of landbanked properties including purchase price, date of purchase, demolition/site clearing cost, current zoning, future land use, etc. Properties to be grouped by location and use classification. Table to be completed for December 2, 2008 meeting.
